Wo•man deals with all the expectations society has in women. I used the corset as a metaphor for something that can be beautiful that we choose to wear, and at the same time something restricting, even painful. Wo•man displays four corsets. The first corset is made of images of women painted or photographed by male artists. The second corset shows photos of my female ancestors and family members. The third corset shows ultrasounds of my nice as a fetus. The last corset is made of scans of my brain and pictures of women I find beautiful.
